Here are other splendid specimens taken from my personal collection of gems and precious stones I would like to sell. In this article I show you some splendid specimens of gems and precious stones, belonging to the family of Quartz, in particular it is gem smoked quartz also known as Smoky Quartz, What if I am not mistaken it is cataloged under the name Morion When is tending to black. This gem features like all quartz for its transparent and glassy luster and extremely dark color, that intense Brown up to black in some specimens (these sayings Morion). In the pictures you can see some examples that can be used for both for related material for the use in ’ jewellery, Remember that the Quartz It has a hardness equal to 7 on the Mohs scale It lends itself very well to be embedded.

After having made the beautiful Amethyst pink, Here's a ’ other splendid quality of quartz, the Citrine, which differs from the’Amethyst for his golden yellow. Citrines are often heated Amethyst. A very simple but really nice especially this specimen which has a really saturated color and uniform. In spite of the rule which sees the citrines like most gems belonging to the family of Quartz very transparent and free from inclusions, This means some small inclusions which makes it even more unique and fascinating to watch and study at Diamond lens or under the microscope. This citrine comes from Brazil, by District Minas Gerais the area where most of the crystals (Amethyst and citrine) and many other precious stones, a true patrimony of humanity ’. Gem cutting to drop from Andalusite 1,00 Carat

After l ’ Amblygonite Here's a ’ other unusual gem and rather rare, unknown to many, but definitely appreciated collectors. I'm talking about a beautiful Andalusite, mineral named (as the Tanzanite) from the site of his first discovery (Andalusia in Spain). L ’ andalusite is a gem and very appreciated for his tricroismo, i.e. the gem has the ability to take multiple colors when viewed from different angles. This particularly affects the ’ attention to flashes orange and Red resulting from the olive green prevalent in the bud. This specimen has a faccettata Teardrop shape and a weight of ben 1 Carat. Pretty hard to find in generous sizes and cut facets, l ’ Andalusite is an undervalued and little known gem, that has nothing to envy to the most famous gems such as Topaz and Spinelli, building on its hardness the location in the Mohs scale in seventh place (7,5 on the Mohs scale) It also allows the use in ’ jewellery without any problems, good to be set into pendants or rings unique, original and exclusive. How many people do you know that lead to finger a ring with Andalusite? I guess nobody! In the pictures does not make all the real beauty of the gem in question, as soon as I can put a video that I hope describes better the splendour of this magnificent gem.
Amethyst PEAR cut from pink 7,20 Carat from Brazil

Rare drop from colorless Amblygonite cutting 0,30 Carat

I know that for many of you this gemma will definitely new and unknown, not surprisingly the’amblygonite, first discovered in Saxony, is a rare gem and difficult to find for sale. L’Amblygonite is a mineral composed of aluminium phosphate lithium and basic with the following formula LiAl(F ₃ OH)PO4. You can come up with a variety of colors ranging from pink, al Green, Blue and yellow, more colorless specimens are rarely as this. AND’ rather tender as stone, reaching only sixth level on the Mohs scale (6 on the Mohs scale) Perhaps this is one of the main reasons why it is little used in jewellery and carved predominantly for purposes related material. Amblygonite stone they have in their possession is pale yellowish in colour tending to’colorless, has a weight of about 0,30 Carat (really hard to find larger sizes) and has a faceted Teardrop shape. Transparency is good, with few visible inclusion (THIS small inclusion) it comes from Brazil.

Excellent specimen of Ruby of Mozambique, a precious stone with cut Teardrop or if you fancy PEAR, weighing 0.77 Carat. A gem from the color purple red or typical of Shiraz red stones from Mozambique. A beautiful gem, with inclusions visible but that characterize the personality.
